Western Mutual Insurance Company (WMI) and its predecessor, the Intermountain Oil Marketers Employee Trust, have been insuring individuals and families of the Western Petroleum Marketers Association since 1974. In 1996, WMI expanded its insured base and began insuring members of the Montana Retail Association, the Montana Hardware and Implement Dealers Association, the Montana Tire Dealers Association, and the Montana Restaurant Association. The growth within these trade associations has been very successful and has enabled the company to develop a strong insured base in several Western States. As of July 2005, WMI insured more than 400 employer groups with approximately 7,500 employees and dependents. It is because of its unique size, that WMI is able to provide professional, friendly, and personal assistance to employer groups and individual insureds. WMI offers a full range of insurance products to eligible members of affiliate trade associations, including life and health insurance, dental, vision, and short-term disability insurance products. WMI is committed to maintaining affordable high-quality insurance for it's members and has been successful in this goal through the implementation of many cost-saving efforts. One of WMI's most effective cost-saving programs is it's extensive preferred provider organization ("PPO") network throughout the Western United States that enables insureds to obtain high quality health care at affordable discounted rates. WPMA members and non-members are also offered the opportunity to self-fund their health benefits through WMI TPA, Inc., a subsidiary of WMI. WMI TPA has a well-established reputation for efficient, courteous and accurate claims processing and has extensive access to national reinsurance companies for the benefit of self-funded and partially self-funded employer groups. H. Kent Johnson |
Kent Johnson was born and raised in Idaho. He received an Associates of Arts degree from Boise Junior College and degrees in Chemistry and Business Administration from Oregon State University. He got his start in the petroleum industry with Diamond Alkali (later Shamrock) Chemical Company and later moved to Stepan Chemical Company's Resinous Products Division. In 1976, he began his career at Fearless Farris Corporations in Boise, Idaho, a family-owned business. He rose to the position of President, which he held until the business was sold in November 2002. He currently operates Boise Cold Storage Company which he purchased in July, 2003. Mr. Johnson has served on the Board of Directors of Western Mutual Insurance Company since 1995 and has served as Chairman since 2001. He has served as the President of Idaho Petroleum Marketers (1983-84), President Western Petroleum Marketers Association (1988-89), Chairman Motor Fuels Committee of Petroleum Marketers Association of America (1990-91), Western Regional Vice President of PMAA (1993-94), Director of the Boise Chamber of Commerce Board (1996-99), Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Boise Chamber of Commerce Small Business Committee (1999-2001), and Director of the Boy Scouts of America (2000-03). He is a member of the Boise Rotary Club, Boise Executive Association, Hillcrest Country Club and Plantation Country Club.

David T. Leo |
David Leo is a Director and the President and CEO of Western Mutual Insurance Company and a Director and the President of WMI TPA, Inc. He has worked in the health insurance industry for since 1989 and is a past President of the Utah Health Insurance Association. He is licensed to practice law in Utah and Colorado and is a graduate of the University of Utah where he received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Utah College of Law, a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish.

Nancy J. Comins |
Nancy Comins is the Chief Financial Officer of Western Mutual Insurance. She has worked in the health insurance industry since 1980 and is a past Secretary/Treasurer of the Utah Chapter of the Insurance Accounting and Systems Association. She is a graduate of the University of Utah where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
